The Holocause-Mahnmal: Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Building began on April 1, 2003 and was finished on December 15, 2004. It was inaugurated on May 10, 2005, sixty years after the end of World War II.
The Sony Center contains a mix of shops, restaurants, a conference centre, and hotel rooms.
The Sony Building opened in 2000 and houses Sony's European headquarters.

The Fernsehturm: Berlin TV Tower was constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the administration of the German Democratic Republic. It was intended as a symbol of Berlin. Its height of 368 meters, it is the tallest structure in Germany.
The new Berlin Hauptbahnhof , the central train station, came into full operation two days after a ceremonial opening on 26 May 2006.
